On this day August 23, 1954

On this day First flight of the C-130 Hercules transport aircraft. The Lockheed C-130 Hercules is a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft designed and built originally by Lockheed, now Lockheed Martin. Capable of using unprepared runways for takeoffs and landings, the C-130 was originally designed as a troop, medical evacuation, and cargo transport aircraft. The versatile airframe has found uses in a variety of other roles, including as a gunship (AC-130), for airborne assault, search and rescue, scientific research support, weather reconnaissance, aerial refueling, maritime patrol, and aerial firefighting. It is now the main tactical airlifter for many military forces worldwide. Over 40 models and variants of the Hercules serve with more than 60 nations. The C-130 entered service with U.S., followed by Australia and others. During its years of service, the Hercules family has participated in numerous military, civilian and humanitarian aid operations. The family has the longest continuous production run of any military aircraft in history. In 2007, the C-130 became the fifth aircraft—after the English Electric Canberra, Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, Tupolev Tu-95, and Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker, all designs with various forms of aviation gas turbine powerplants—to mark 50 years of continuous use with its original primary customer, in this case, the United States Air Force. The C-130 is one of the only military aircraft to remain in continuous production for over 50 years with its original customer, as the updated C-130J Super Hercules.

I have some very fond memories of being on a C-130. Sitting in the cargo net seats. Shoulder to shoulder with the guy next to you. The crew chiefs walking across everyone’s knees to do there checks. Is truly an experience I can say not enough people get to encounter. Its funny as hell when you embrace the suck, how little some other things suck. These aircraft on a serious note truly is amazing. I think they are one of the most versatile aircrafts in the Air Force’s fleet.

On this Day June 28, 2005

On this day one of my worse days in my military career. The United States lost 16 heroes. 3 of them I knew very well. Call sign Turbine 33 carrying 8 Navy Seals was called upon to provide support a seal team on ground that had been compromised. Forward task force Commander Major Reich, aboard Turbine was shot down near the summit of a Mountain called Sawtalo Sar, the chinook took fire and was hit inside the aircraft causing a massive explosion. The men aboard sacrificed their life in hopes to save the life of a seal team who desperately needed their help.

I had just left that location 2 weeks prior to this happening. I had only been at work a few hours when I heard the news. I still remembering briefing my slides to Maj Reich, He was a tough officer and treated everyone equal. He would push you to be the best you can. If my slides had grammar issues or mistakes he would make me fix it and expect perfection. He made NCO’s better for knowing him. SFC Murralles, was an amazing father, husband and the best medic I knew. I miss our chats before he would go to bed and I would go to work. He knew more about medicine than most Doctors and has helped hundreds of men. Kip Jacoby, I will never forget our chats in front of the motor pool at night when you was not on mission. Talking about the car you and your Fiancé was building and just general soldier talk will always be with me.

For they loved to fight, Fought to win, and would rather die than Quit NIGHTSTALKERS DON’T QUITE!!!!!!

Update on all our hard work

Here at Salvaje Army we have been grinding hard to build this business as well as our cause. We are still working on offering custom gun builds, as well as gun parts and ammo. We have been talking to several people from different parts of the United States to be on our podcast. We have a person who owns a farm in North Carolina and helps with homeless veterans. He is absolutely hilarious and is helping fight the fight for our veterans. The record date is July 2nd 2022. We are trying to set a date with a veteran who is a professional bass fisherman. He is busy right now in competitions and is showing the world every day what a veteran can do in the civilian world. We have currently recorded 23 podcasts this year and have over 1200 downloads. We are just in the beginning of this race and still working hard to make our goals. This is why we ask all the time to down load our podcast.

For those who listen to our podcast on Facebook, please note that Facebook has removed there services for podcasts and will not put new shows on there and will remove the existing ones at the end of the year. You can find all our our shows on our webpage as well as a direct link to several free apps to listen to it on.

We have enhanced the merch store that will hopefully be offering guns and parts on it by the end of the year. We are currently using Pay Pal as our method of check out to keep our fees down on credit card transactions. You do not have to have a Pay Pal account to use it, you can check out as a guest and use a credit/debit card. You can check out the Merch Store Here

Lastly We have created our first advertisement Here is a preview of it. We posted it on Tik Tok.

Special Thanks to Ashlei Johns

I wanted to take a moment to thank an awesome Veteran. Her name is Ashlei Johns “specialist Johns”. She served with us for several years at Fort Stewert GA. She is a truly is an awesome artist as well as a hell of a Soldier. Not only did she serve this great country, but her husband is as well. She has been helping us with a special project creating the Logo for our Podcast. We literally gave her very little input and she came up with this awesome logo. I knew as soon as me and Doug talked about this I knew instantly who to ask.

She has started a small business doing drawing projects for people. As you guys know we are about highlighting awesome veterans to help make people aware of them. Today is the day we highlight her work. She is mostly on Facebook you can check it out at @romanticoredesign. She has awesome jewelry as well as you can tell she does amazing drawings. If ever in the need remember to give her the opportunity.
